Today, it finally snowed.
A morning with Margaret Atwood,
A performance with some very lovely people,
A very happy day for a best friend,
A coffee date with an old friend.
I feel like I am finally closer to my niche.
I have so many new fabulous friends.
School isn't as unbearable stressful as before.
I'm redefining my small pleasures in life.
Christmas is coming. The snow and the lights tell me so.
Soon I can go home, Oh, Little town of Gimli,
For three weeks of family and chocolate and Christmas aromas.
Three weeks of skating and friends and Operation Red Nose.
Have you ever noticed that the year is divided by two fabulous poles?
Folk Fest, Christmas, Folk Fest, Christmas.... and around it goes,
generating momentum of swirling feelings of excitement and nostalgia.
I can't help but smile today.
